Modular hose and cable bridge system for outdoor use made of steel
The modular cable bridge system for outdoor use consists of the following elements:
- Main element 300 x 400 x 100 mm including connecting tab ( dimensions of passage channel: 250 x 90 x 400 mm )
- Loading ramp 350 x 400 x 95 mm
- Extension element 1000 x 400 x 100 mm
Material: Hot-dip galvanized steel (S235 JR) according to DIN ISO 1461, ribbed ramp
Suitable wire mesh boxes for transporting and storing the bridge elements can be supplied as an option.
The height of the channel is suitable for the diameters of B, C and D fire hoses .
Alternatively, there is a similar non-modular steel hose and cable bridge with two ramp sections for easy/quick assembly using a handle, with external dimensions of 850 mm x 300 mm x 90 mm – the opening measures 220 mm x 300 mm x 80 mm. These sections can be hooked together and detached again laterally using connecting eyelets.

Instructions for hose bridges
Hose and cable bridges lying on the roadway are initially considered traffic obstructions according to Section 32 of the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO). This means that the responsible party is obligated to remove them immediately. Therefore, cable bridges must be clearly marked for road users for the duration of their use. This is done by erecting traffic signs. Hose bridges are generally indicated by traffic sign 112, "uneven road surface." Section 5.10.7 of the German Technical Regulations for Road Construction (ZTV SA) states that temporary vehicle bridges with a height difference greater than 25 mm must be indicated by traffic signs, and the maximum permissible speed must be reduced. This speed reduction can be as low as 10 km/h in consultation with the traffic authority. Hose and cable bridges should generally only be used during daylight hours and only in exceptional cases at night. If they are used at night, these hazards must be clearly marked. This can be achieved through external lighting, reflectors, or retroreflective red and white foil.
