An oil-based rainwater filter is an essential component for environmentally friendly water management. Especially in industrial plants, parking lots, workshops, and transformer containment basins, this filter prevents groundwater and runoff from being contaminated by oil residues that can be washed away by rain. The oil filter contributes to effective rainwater management and simultaneously guarantees a residual hydrocarbon concentration of less than 5 milligrams per liter in the outflowing rainwater. In the event of a major oil spill, the oil filter cartridges become saturated and form a watertight plug. Under normal operating conditions, 2 to 5 patented oil filter cartridges ensure a water flow rate of 30 to 75 liters per minute.
