Cable bridges as drive-over protection, load-bearing capacity up to 20 t

Drive-over cable bridge for cable and hose protection in outdoor areas . Individual modules of the cable bridge (consisting of a ramp, e.g., for wheelchair users; end piece with and without adapter; straight center section; and angled pieces with left or right adapters) can be connected using a molded-in connecting pin. It is also suitable for bolting down, without the need for mounting hardware. Ideal for use on construction sites, in the oil and gas industry, in mining, and in military applications, and suitable for heavy trucks and forklifts.

Assembly instructions and safety information for cable bridges suitable for outdoor use

Installation: Lay the drive-over protection along the required path and place the cable in the designated channel, then close the cover. Connect the individual system components using the elements listed below.

Cable bridges lying on the roadway are initially considered traffic obstructions according to Section 32 of the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO). This means that the responsible party is obligated to remove them immediately. Therefore, cable bridges must be clearly marked for road users for the duration of their use. This is done by erecting traffic signs. Cable bridges are generally indicated by traffic sign 112, "uneven road surface."

Section 5.10.7 ZTV SA: Temporary vehicle bridges with a height difference greater than 25 mm must be indicated by traffic signs, and the maximum permissible speed must be reduced. This speed reduction can be as low as 10 km/h in consultation with the traffic authority. Cable bridges should generally only be used during daylight hours and only in exceptional cases at night.

If the equipment is used in the dark, these hazardous areas must be clearly marked. This can be achieved through external lighting, reflectors, or retroreflective red and white foil.

General note: Load capacity up to 20t possible. (2t for an area of 25x25cm)

This system is approved for use up to a maximum speed of 10 km/h.

Safety Notice : Driving over the product at a speed exceeding the specified limit may damage the vehicle. This applies particularly to vehicles with low ground clearance. Driving over the speed bump with single-track vehicles (e.g., motorcycles or bicycles) may cause a fall. This is especially true at excessive speeds, with careless driving, and/or in wet conditions. We therefore recommend clear advance warning and marking with traffic sign 112 ("Uneven Road Surface") in combination with traffic sign 274 ("Maximum Speed Limit") on both sides of the road. Design and installation in accordance with the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) are required.
