Camlock locking flaps
Camlock caps
Advantages of Camlock closure caps :
- Full speed ahead
- Low pressure loss
- Also suitable for solids, as there are no internal valves.
- Dimensions are standardized worldwide according to MIL-C-27487 (1/2" & 5" conform to industry standard, as they are not covered in MIL-C-27487)
Camlock locking caps for quick-release connectors, made of stainless steel and for 2 and 3 inch sizes
DN / Size in inches: 15 (1/2"), 20 (3/4"), 25 (1"), 32 (1 1/4"), 49 (1 1/2"), 50 (2"), 60 (2 1/2"), 75 (3"), 90 (4"), 120 (5"), 140 (6")

Temperature range: -10°C to +80°C
Notes:
* Check chemical resistance! For liquids, preferably use stainless steel, brass, or aluminum. Pressure ratings at +40°C. **Plug diameter 53.4 mm with reduced connection. This does not conform to the standard. ***Four hand levers. ****One hand lever without a locking pin.
All information is provided as non-binding guidelines! We accept no liability for data selection not confirmed in writing. Unless otherwise stated, pressure specifications refer to liquids of group II at +20°C.
The versatile Camlock hose coupling system
A cam-and-groove coupling, also known as a camlock fitting , is a type of hose coupling originally developed for the US military. This type of coupling is popular because it provides a simple and reliable way to quickly connect and disconnect hoses without tools. Camlock couplings consist of a cam and a groove that lock together. This allows for a quick and secure connection, which is especially important in applications requiring frequent assembly and disassembly. The name "camlock fitting" comes from the locking cam, which acts like a lever, facilitating locking and unlocking. These couplings are versatile and are used in various industries, including manufacturing, agriculture, and firefighting.
Manufactured to the US military specification MIL-C-27487, this specification covered dimensions and machining tolerances, materials, tightening torques, part numbers, pressure ratings, surface finishes, inspection procedures, and packaging requirements. Adherence to this specification ensured the interchangeability of parts from different manufacturers. In 1998, the AA-59326 specification replaced MIL-C-27487. In Europe, the BS EN 14420-7 standard and the German DIN 2828 standard apply. Products manufactured to DIN 2828 are interchangeable with those manufactured to the original MIL-C-27487, but may differ in hose barb design, threads, part numbers, and other details. Our high-quality products comply with these standards to ensure the highest quality and interoperability.
