Soundproof enclosure for heat pump
Soundproof enclosure for heat pump
A high-quality soundproof enclosure for heat pumps can effectively reduce disruptive noise. Soundproof housings for heat pumps offer an optimal solution, ensuring a pleasant noise level that is equally considerate of neighbors and residents.
Advantages of heat pump soundproof enclosures:
- Excellent sound insulation: Materials such as a 50 mm mineral board and special acoustic wool reduce noise by up to 18 dB.
- Robust design: Made from 1 mm thick galvanized steel, the cases offer durability and protection against environmental influences.
- Flexible sizes and colors: Available in various sizes (S, M, L, XL) and color options (e.g. black, grey, anthracite), they adapt perfectly to your heat pump and environment.
- Easy installation: Thanks to modular elements, assembly is quick and easy.

Soundproofing for heat pumps as noise insulation for the outside
Our soundproof enclosures not only offer excellent noise reduction of 12 dB to 18 dB, but are also durable and easy to install. Thanks to their robust design, they ensure efficient air circulation and help extend the lifespan of your heat pump. Heat pumps can become louder in freezing temperatures because they have to work harder under these conditions to extract heat from the cold outside air. The noise level can increase by 2 to 6 dB (and in some cases significantly more), depending on the model and operating conditions.
Easy installation of the soundproof hood
With various sizes and color options, you can easily adapt the covers to the specific requirements of your systems. Custom-made soundproof covers are also available, for example, for industrial applications or specifically for a particular type of heat pump for OEM customers. How loud are heat pumps?
Heat pumps produce a noise level between 30 and 60 decibels (dB) during operation. This is roughly equivalent to a whisper or a normal conversation. The actual noise level of a heat pump depends on several factors:
- Heating power : Higher power appliances tend to produce more noise because they use larger or more powerful components.
- Installation location : Good placement, sufficient distance (at least 3 to 5 m) and sound insulation can reduce noise pollution.
- Device type and quality : Modern, high-quality heat pumps are generally quieter than older or cheaper models.
The Technical Guidelines for Noise Protection (TA Lärm) regulate the permissible noise levels for technical installations such as heat pumps. For example, the following limit values apply to purely residential areas:
- Daytime (6:00–22:00) : Maximum 50 decibels (dB)
- Nighttime (10 PM–6 AM) : Maximum 35 decibels (dB)

1) Select the desired sound insulation level
The soundproof enclosures are offered in two sound insulation levels: 12 dB and 15 dB.
It is also possible to use the housings without sound insulation as visual %C3% %20nimmt% %20sch% %BCtzt% %20-% %C3% %20sein% .
(Upon request, we also offer a special version of the soundproof enclosure with 18 dB, however, only with a rear air intake. The external design differs.)
2) Air intake on the side or at the rear ?
- With side air inlets (left and right) : These ensure optimal circulation of fresh air.
