Control points / ground control points for surveying or photogrammetry using drones

  • The ground control points, also called ground control points, are clearly visible, measuring 1 m x 1 m , even from great heights.
  • Made from durable, lightweight material (rigid foam or alternatively aluminum composite with matte laminate), self-adhesive film or magnetic film (e.g. for marking vehicles on the roof)
  • Easy to transport and store
  • Includes four optional holes for additional fixing, if required.

What are passport points used for?

"In photogrammetry and remote sensing, control points (also known as reference points, ground control points (GCPs), or fixed points) are used to determine the orientation elements of a survey image. These are points in the terrain whose position is known in a corresponding (terrain) coordinate system and which are clearly identifiable in an aerial or satellite image." (Wikipedia) Control points are also used in surveying with drones/UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). GCPs significantly improve the accuracy of orthophotos and drone maps.

The control points can also be used as adjustment points for the installation of machines.
