Ribbed plates
Tactile ribbed concrete panels
Tactile paving slabs with ribs/ribbed concrete panels are installed as particularly robust ground indicators in public transport areas. They serve as guidance systems for blind and visually impaired people and are available in white (as well as anthracite, concrete gray, yellow, and black) . The legal basis for their use is the European Equality Directive, DIN TS 15209, DIN 32984, and DB AG's Guideline 813 02.
- Fiber-reinforced concrete studded panels shaped according to DIN 32984 are perfect as tactile guidance systems for public spaces, e.g. for bus stops and train stations.
- According to the Passenger Transport Act (PBefG), public transport must be accessible from 01.1.2022.
- The standard size is 300 mm x 300 mm, and available in thicknesses of 25 mm, 50 mm, 80 mm or 100 mm.

Tactile paving slabs with ribs made of concrete
Shaped according to DIN 32984, these ribbed concrete slabs are ideal for tactile guidance systems for the blind in public places such as train stations, bus stops, etc. They are made of high-performance concrete for pedestrian-friendly use.
- Shaped according to DIN 32984
- Dimensional accuracy according to DIN 18500
- Frost and de-icing salt resistance according to DIN EN 1338 / 1339
- Surface texture: For increased
Longitudinal grip is achieved through transverse ribbing. This results in a surface grip rating of > 55 SRT or a slip resistance rating of R12. Groove widths are 14 mm (standard), 20 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm, 42 mm, and 50 mm.
"The local public transport plan must take into account the needs of people with reduced mobility or sensory impairments with the aim of achieving full accessibility for the use of local public transport by 1 January 2022" ( §8 para. 3 Passenger Transport Act (PBefG) )
Matching "smooth" concrete slabs for accompanying strips in anthracite as a contrasting color in 300 x 300 x 80 mm (LxWxH) are available.
Please note that tactile floor markings made of slabs for the blind can pose a tripping/accident hazard (including for pedestrians, cyclists, inline skaters and wheelchair users), especially on cycle paths and stair areas.
